| John Ingram
John Ingram finds lighting intuitive. During his twenty-five year career, he
has created lighting designs for a diverse range of projects, including staged
theatrical productions, major international touring acts, and broadcast television.
Currently, he is known as one of the pre-eminent lighting designers for live
special events.
Ingram’s client list includes many major U.S. corporations. He has designed
press events and dealer meetings for GM, Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, Hyundai, Honda,
Suzuki, and Toyota. He has lit sales meetings for Novartis, Pharmacia/Upjohn,
GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Janssen, Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi and Bristol
Myers Squibb. He has designed user group meetings and trade show booths for
SAP, Cisco, PeopleSoft, Lucent, Apple Computer, IBM, and Sun Microsystems. He
has lit public events in Rockefeller Center since 1998, including the Olympic
Torch Ceremony, the Louis Vuitton Classic and NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller
Center, for which he received an Emmy award in 1999 and 2000.
Ingram prides himself on staying on the cutting edge of lighting technology.
His work is known for its sophisticated use of moving lights, both for scenic
treatment and as environmental enhancement. He has applied his experience in
television to his work in industrials, and while Ingram shows look great to
the audience, they also look great on video. Ingram presents I-Mag subjects
that are well sculpted and separated from a well-lit background.
His shows always look exciting and different, and he has successfully introduced
state-of-the-art technology to a field that has traditionally been sedate and
conservative. The result is a unique, visually exciting environment that adds
striking creative accents to the projects with which he is associated.
